As CAD base software is provided AutoSketch from Autodesk, an intuitive operable 2D CAD software, which ideally fulfils the expectations of the switch cabinet manufacturing. For the configuration planning, no drawing tools have to be used at all. Rather then using drawing tools only predefined symbols, which match with original parts, are placed by “drag&drop” with the mouse, on doors, mountings plates, cabinets or boards. It’s blindingly easy.

A multiplicity of automatic helping tools for the placing facilitate the work. Therefore it is possible to generate fully graphical drawings of complex constructional systems of rowed cabinet, without the necessity of entering the measures. The CAD software allows the planning of all parts of a switch cabinet (e.g. mounting plates , doors, side parts top parts) in only one drawing.

Through a multi document interface partly drawings can easily be made by copy&print, f.i. a complex button array can be taken over.

The predefined party library is part of the purchased machine. They are hierarchically divided like a tree structure und contain thousands of components of diverse producers of the switch cabinet industry. If needed these libraries can easily be enlarged by a user.

After having finished the layout drawing, the postprocessor, the second component of the STEINHAUER software, completes the remains. It makes large validity checks to avoid layout mistakes, allows a material choice, which customises all machine settings on the material that has to be processed and generates automatically a machine code as DIN-code. A preview function allows a visualisation of the program before starting the machine. After the transfer of the automatically generated machine program into the controlling the work piece is fully automatically being processed.
